Who We Are

With the aim of encouraging university students in research, the journey of the Eden Mohila College Research Club began on 30th September 2024. Operated by research-oriented students, the organization follows the motto, “Research for a Better World.” It is an integral and budget-included part of Eden Mohila College. Regular students of the college (from first-year to fourth-year, and master’s students) can actively participate as members, while MPhil and PhD researchers are considered honorary members.

Every year, new members are invited to join the organization between February and March, and all students of Eden Mohila College are eligible to apply. Additionally, students interested in research or with prior experience in research can register as members online through the organization’s website or official page.

Saifullah Sadeq, a student of the History Department at Dhaka University, is the convener and founder of this organization. The foundation of the organization was supported by 33 enthusiastic students from various faculties. At present, the Eden Mohila College Research Club has grown into an organization with over 300 members. Members conduct research activities in teams based on different topics. Each team includes a faculty supervisor, a research manager chosen from experienced students, and several capable students for coordination and leadership. According to its constitution, one or two professors from different faculties act as honorable moderators to guide the students.

Respected faculty members of Eden Mohila College serve as advisors to this research parliament. Currently, Dr. Abu Saleh Uddin Noman is serving as the moderator of the research club, while Md. Nazrul Islam is an advisor.
